New Men’s Singing Groups
I am delighted to invite men from Welwyn Garden City, Harpenden, and the surrounding areas to join our new, relaxed daytime singing groups, staring in April 2026.
Designed for all voices and skill levels, our sessions focus on the joy of music and community. Come along to sing your heart out, enjoy a coffee, and meet a fantastic group of people in a friendly, no-pressure atmosphere.
'It's friendly, it's sociable and Tim has a wonderful sense of humour; it's great!'
Pat (Kimpton Glee Club)
All welcome, no auditions or experience needed—just great songs and warm company.
Details of the two new groups are below. Both start after Easter 2026 (April 13th and 14th).
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Tim

What can I expect?
Come for the singing, stay for the coffee...
Each session starts with a very gentle physical warm up, with light stretching (standing or seated) to loosen up the joints and muscles associated with singing.
We then start to vocalise to warm up our voices, gentle humming and then singing exercises to warm up the voice throughout its range.
A great way to warm up and start to sing in harmony is by singing rounds, which I usually include as a part of the session. These are great fun and singing them from memory is good for maintaining a healthy brain.
Each session I tend to introduce a new piece of music. I write most arrangements myself, to tailor it to the group's ability. Making sure that everyone has a rewarding experience.
'I feel like I’m learning so much about singing!' - Linda
You don't need to be able to read music. You don't need any experience.
I supply words or music and also record learning tracks for you to access on line, to help you learn all the songs.
Singing in harmony - you'll be pleasantly surprised how easy this is. With my approach and the online assets I produce you'll be harmonising in no time.
Songs - we sing a wide range of music from from folk to rock, pop and some classical including timeless favourites.
No Auditions. No Stress. Just Singing.
So come and join a community that celebrates the physical and mental power of song. Whether you're a shower-singer or a seasoned pro, there’s a seat (and a harmony) waiting for you.
